Every participant in the workers’ compensation system deserves to be treated fairly. WCB's Code of Rights and Conduct tells you how the organization holds itself accountable in all interactions with you.

If you feel you were treated unfairly
WCB’s Code of Rights and Conduct outlines WCB’s commitments in their interactions with you. If you feel you were treated unfairly—either from a behavioural or process perspective—there are processes in place to help resolve the issue.
Note: If your concern is about a claim or account decision and you want the decision reviewed or changed, please submit a request for decision review.
Step 1: Speak with a supervisor
We know it can be difficult to talk to people about service concerns. If you’re uncomfortable speaking with the original decision maker, you can share your concerns with the supervisor of the person providing the service. A collaborative conversation may help to resolve an issue, but if you still have concerns, move on to step 2.
Step 2: Share your concern with a manager
If you are unable to resolve your concern with a supervisor, you can share your concern with a manager. The manager will work with you and your claim or account team to address your concerns. If your concerns remain, move to step 3.
Step 3: Request a formal fairness review
- What is administrative fairness at WCB?
- What is the Fair Process Review Centre (FPRC)?
- I feel I’ve been treated unfairly because I disagree with a decision. Can the FPRC help?
- If a fairness review cannot change a decision, what outcomes can it provide?
- Is there a time limit for reviewing a fairness concern?
- Where can I access the form to request a fairness review?
- What can I expect after I submit my form?
