Searching for a procedure or something within a procedure
Search for a procedure
- Click your mouse in the search box at the top of the screen.
- Type a word that you think is in the procedure that you are looking for. For example - Type triage if you are looking for the Triage assessment referral procedure. As you type the list of procedure list displays based on the matches that are found to the word(s) that you are typing. The matches are highlighted yellow. The more words that you type the more specific the results become.
- When the procedure that you are looking for displays, click on the procedure title to open it. You can also open it by clicking on the ‘Open in a new tab’ icon to the right of the search tags column.
Search within a procedure
There are two methods for searching for text within a procedure: the search box and Ctrl+F.
Search box
- Click your mouse in the search box at the top of the procedure.
- Type a word that you are looking for in the procedure. For example - In the Triage assessment referral procedure, if you type FM733, the system displays the matches to FM733 that it finds and highlights them yellow. It highlights all occurrences even if that word is in a collapsed section. Scroll down to view all results.
For this search, it is important to remember that you do not need press the enter key after typing the word. The search function engages as soon as you start typing.
Ctrl + F
- Expand all sections as this search only looks at content that is displayed on the page. It won't search collapsed sections.
- Hold down the Ctrl key and the letter f at the same time. This engages the search and displays a search box at the top right corner of the screen.
- You can choose to filter the search by matching the case, whole word or both. Turn on one or both options to engage the filter(s).
Type a word that you are looking for in the procedure. For example - In the Triage assessment referral procedure, when you type reports, the system displays the matches and highlights them in orange. It takes you to the first occurrence and indicates in the search box how many results were found. You can use the arrows to view each result.
