File your Annual Return

If you have workers’ compensation coverage through WCB-Alberta, you need to file an Annual Return each year. Your Annual Return includes your actual insurable earnings (payroll) paid in 2011, along with an estimate of insurable earnings for 2012. Filing your Annual Return ensures that you’re paying the appropriate premiums for the worker coverage you need. The deadline to file your Annual Return is February 29, 2012.

How do you file?

The easiest way to file is online. Online passwords were sent to all employers in late December. For employers who opened their accounts after December 1, a second mailing is taking place in early January. New this year, more browser options are available. Choose from Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Opera to file your annual return.

Once you have your password, please visit www.wcb.ab.ca/employers and select File your annual return located in the Public Online Services for Employers section of the site.

Enter your account number and password, and breeze through customized screens with automated calculations and built-in error checking. If you have not received your password by the first week in February, please request one online.
