Employer performance: fatality data update

Fatalities

We have come across a few cases where a fatality occupational disease claim remains assigned to the employer of record rather than the industry in which the worker worked. In some cases, this is correct; however, WCB is validating those records and will reassign the claim to the industry, if required.

Any change on the claim assignment, does not impact employer costs or dependant benefits but will impact the tracking on the Alberta Employment and Immigration online records.
