Thank you

At such an emotional time, it is so hard to find the words to convey my overwhelming gratitude to the many stakeholders – workers, employers and partners – who have shared their support, well wishes and sympathy over these last few days. We have drawn great strength from your considerable acts of kindness and outpouring of support.

Although we are all immeasurably relieved that no one was physically injured, last week’s traumatic events have deeply hurt all of us. We know it will take a long time to put them fully behind us.

Our community came together in ways we never imagined. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Edmonton Police Service for their efficient response and for bringing the incident to a peaceful resolution. Thank you also to our government for their full support of our workers and clients whose lives have been irrevocably impacted.

Lastly, I sincerely want to thank our employees who showed valor and compassion in actively working to ensure the safety of their colleagues and clients. Our employees continue to show us that they are the reason why this is an extraordinary organization and a great place to work. We are a family.

Together we will heal and plan for our future. We are proud to work with you and know what we do makes a positive difference.
