Robert Nicolay

Representative of the interests of the public

Robert is an energy industry business consultant through his company Aurora Borealis Management. Over an impressive 25 year career, Robert has held a variety of executive and management positions in the energy sector including Pengrowth Corporation (VP), ENMAX Corporation (CEO), Gulf Canada Resources, and Amoco Petroleum. He has also served in the public and not-for-profit sector in the City of Medicine Hat (Chief Commissioner) and the Calgary Olympic Development Association (CEO). Robert is an experienced director through years of service on many private and public sector boards.

A strategic and motivating leader, Robert successfully combines corporate governance with industry leadership and brings a broad range of skills and expertise to the Workers’ Compensation Board.
