Research and development

Millard Health’s research program focuses on applied research with direct application to the care of injured workers. The aim is to improve the management of work-related injury to promote enhanced clinical and work-related outcomes. Over the years, internal and external researchers have engaged in scholarly activities at Millard Health that have advanced the field of occupational rehabilitation. Millard Health often receives requests from researchers for assistance in undertaking projects. This frequently includes access to subjects or clinical database information. While Millard Health does not directly fund research in the form of operating grants; other types of support are generally provided if the project addresses the program priorities. WCB-Alberta has a vast repository of information that has often been used for research.
